Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: October 23, 2026
Short version: REDROCER does not require an account, include advertising or analytics SDKs, or upload your recordings to REDROCER servers. Your library is stored on your device and, when enabled, in your own iCloud Drive or Files location. Apple processes App Store purchases; REDROCER never receives your payment-card details.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how the REDROCER independent software project ("REDROCER", "we", "us") handles information when you use the REDROCER iPhone app, its TestFlight builds, and the website at redrocer.app.
2. Information handled by the app
Audio and projects
Recordings, imported audio or video, cover images, edits, playlists, project information and app settings are processed locally on your device or in the app's Apple-provided shared app container. The app can also mirror your library to its folder in your iCloud Drive and to a Files folder that you explicitly select. Those copies are held by Apple or the storage provider you choose, under that provider's terms. REDROCER does not operate a server that receives this content.
Device permissions
The app may ask for access only when a feature needs it:
- Microphone and connected audio inputs — to record audio, use the tuner, or process live vocals and instruments.
- Screen and phone-audio capture — to record audio that you deliberately select through Apple's system capture interface.
- Photos and videos — to import a selected video or choose a cover image. The app uses Apple's system picker and receives only items you select.
- Files and imported media — to open audio you choose from Files, Voice Memos, another app, or a share sheet.
Permission choices can be changed in iOS Settings. Turning off a permission may disable the related feature.
No tracking or advertising
The current app does not include third-party advertising, cross-app tracking, analytics, crash-reporting or behavioural profiling SDKs. It does not create a REDROCER account or remote user profile.
App Store purchases
Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. REDROCER does not receive or store your card number or other payment credentials. StoreKit provides the app with signed transaction and entitlement information, such as the product purchased, transaction status and whether access remains valid, so the app can unlock and restore purchases. Apple maintains the App Store transaction record; the app may cache entitlement state on your device. Apple's privacy terms apply to its processing.
3. Information handled by the website
The website does not use cookies, browser storage, analytics pixels, advertising trackers or contact forms. Fonts and media are served from the same site rather than loaded from a third-party font provider.
The website is delivered through Cloudflare. Like most hosting providers, Cloudflare may process technical request information such as an IP address, browser information, requested URL, timestamps and security signals to deliver and protect the site. REDROCER does not use those logs to profile visitors.
4. When information may leave your device
Your content may leave local device storage when the app mirrors it to your iCloud Drive, when you connect a folder through Files, or when you export, share or save it to another app or service. You control these destinations, and the destination provider's privacy terms apply. If you send diagnostic details or recordings to us for support, we receive only what you deliberately send.
We may disclose limited information if legally required, to protect users or the service, or to prevent fraud or abuse. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for targeted advertising.
5. Retention and deletion
Locally stored recordings and projects remain until you delete them in the app or remove the app and its related extensions from your device. Removing the app may not delete copies in iCloud Drive, a selected Files folder, an export destination or a device backup; manage those copies in the relevant service. Apple retains App Store transaction information under its own policies. Hosting security logs are retained by Cloudflare according to its service settings and legal obligations.
Because REDROCER has no developer-operated account or recording server, we generally cannot retrieve or delete your app library for you.
6. Your choices and rights
You can deny or revoke iOS permissions, disconnect or change a Files folder, manage iCloud Drive through Apple settings, delete recordings and projects, uninstall the app, and choose whether to export anything. You can manage App Store purchases through your Apple Account. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection concerning personal information held about you. Use the support contacts below; if we do not hold the requested information, we will tell you.
7. Children
REDROCER is a general creative audio tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through an account or online profile.
8. External services and links
The website links to Instagram and Threads. The app may use Apple services including the App Store, StoreKit, TestFlight, iCloud Drive, Files, ReplayKit and system media pickers. A Files location may be supplied by Apple or another provider you have installed. Those services operate under their own privacy policies. Cloudflare provides website delivery and security.
9. Changes
We may update this policy when the app gains new features or our data practices change. The revised date will appear at the top. Material changes will be reflected before the affected feature is released.
10. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, contact REDROCER through the public support channels below. Do not send private recordings unless you intentionally choose to share them for support.
